BOROSHOCK 100% BORON CARBIDE CERAMIC ARMOR

BoroShock™ is SINTX’s ceramic armor material made from 100% boron carbide (B4C). Boron carbide is one of the hardest materials known, rated third to diamond and offers the best combination of advanced ballistic protection and extreme lightweight, making it ideal for aircraft armor.

BoroShock™ can also also be formed into double curved torso plates, making it especially suitable for body armor. Due to it’s lightweight, it offers advanced protection from high-level ballistic threats without restricting performance or Mobility.

DEFENSE + VISIBILITY

SPINEL TRANSPARENT ARMOR

SINTX is proud to offer OEM transparent armor made magnesium aluminate spinel (MgAl2O4), which is known for it’s ability to absorb shock, deflect projectiles, and withstand extreme temperatures without sacrificing optical clarity.

This material outperforms traditional ballistic glass by being 50% lighter and thinner, with enhanced erosion resistance. In recent tests, it met the demanding
Army All Weather Multi-Hit ATPD 2352R specification for Ground Combat Vehicles, providing unparalleled lightweight protection for both air and ground
vehicles.

  • Superior ballistic protection and erosion resistance at less than half the weight and thickness of traditional glass laminates.

  •  Lightest weight armor qualified to demanding Army All Weather Multi-Hit ATPD 2352R specification for ground combat vehicles.

DuraShock™ is SINTX’s ceramic hybrid armor material made from 40% Boron Carbide and 60% Silicon Carbide. This ceramic armor hybrid combines the weight savings of boron carbide with the cost-effective advantages of silicon carbide.

DuraShock™ provides a suitable armor solution for ground vehicle and body armor applications where multi-hit performance against ballistic threats is required and where cost is an important factor.
